About Al Fajri Charitable Organization

Al Fajri is non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-partisan organization established to assist and support the most vulnerable and desperate population living in above mentioned regions, to alleviate suffering, hunger, poverty and transform lives through a sustainable, integrated community centred development strategy.

Objectives

  • Contribute to the eradication of extreme poverty and hunger through improving rural livelihoods.
  • Promote health and nutrition service delivery, maximizing human skills for decentralized service delivery.
  • Improve the capacity of Al Fajri staff and stakeholders to promote relief and emergency services to the poor.
  • Promote productivity, stability, and diversity of vulnerable households' production systems.
  • Create water conservation and rain harvesting systems; promote sanitation, and hygiene practices.
  • Provide education for peace, personal development, and the development of culture and moral values.
  • Promote grassroots community-based peace-building.
  • Provide psychosocial counseling for psychologically affected community members.
  • Contribute to community empowerment, mobilization for health, and development initiatives.
